Peace and Welcome

This is my ‘plugged-in’ living space…

I have a M.S. in Public Anthropology from American University in Washington D.C., following a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology at Kennesaw State University in metro Atlanta, Georgia. My research interests are identity, race, indigeneity, material culture, cultural sustainability and political economy.

My latest research focuses on identity and the ‘Reconocimiento’ struggles of the Afro-Mexican community of Costa Chica and their quest to realize their full social and political rights as birthright citizens of the state of Mexico.

Please see ‘Projects’ section for further information on some of my past and current research.

Art, Healing Arts, Creative Movement, Plant-life and Literature are my personal influences.

My activism - cultural, political, spiritual - is rooted in my love of nature and my delight in human beings.... For we can do nothing substantial toward changing our course on the planet..... without rousing ourselves, individual by individual, and bringing our small, imperfect stones to the pile.

In this regard, I have a story to tell.
